It's Sunday, the weather is a dream and I have nothing to do, so I decided to make a hike again on three smaller summits, I planned to climb for a while now.
At first, I drove to Hinterwinkl and parked at two chapels, you get to see them at the end. Not without detour though, I noticed I had to refuel and of course the next is kilometres away. Anyways. Then I followed the road at first.
Vordertal (below) and Pödlgut (on the hill)
Stadlbach - here, I entered the forest and began to walk up the mountain.
Soon, I came across a hunting chapel.
The path onto the summit was steep but cute. You always walk on the edge, and it is nice to go. There are not many people on the way, I only met two hikers here.
A view of Vorderfager (left) and Oberwinkl (right) with the summits of Rauchenbühel (centre, 988 m) and Gaißberg (right, 1287 m, spot the antenna!), in the background the Salzach valley with Salzburg city and covered in snow the Untersberg (1972 m).
The first and highest summit is the Gurlspitze (1158 m).
First aid is very important. Luckily, there is a whole chest with traditional medicine on the summit ;)
A guy who was on the summit as well told me, there's also somewhere a earthhole full with cool beer below the cross, but he hasn't found it yet.
For the descent I hd to walk back where I came from, but then I lost interest and shortcut through the slope. Then followed the forest road.
Neat view of Hinterwinkl and the Ochserberg (1483 m) in the centre.
Ebenau
Helleborus niger - There were so many on the way down to my next summit. I even took one home :)
Anemone hepatica
I reached the saddle between the Gurlspitze and my next summit
Pitrach (982 m), this hill is also easy to reach and it's even cozirt on top, but still there don't seem many people go up here. Good for me. Also, with a neat improvised cross^^.
You won't believe it but this is a summit too. Reischauspitze (839 m) already sounded boring, but I didn't think it would be this boring ;)
I reached the valley again and took a quick detour to get to photograph a few farms too.
Erica carnea
And also, obliatory waterfall for y'all
Wildergraben
Großweißbach
Kleinweißbach
Gummerer
Grasmann
Mooshäusl
And the frogs are coming.
Vorderpechau
Here we are at the two chapels I mentioned before!
The left one is called Schwarzerbergkapelle and is almost a little church. It has a door that was locked, but it had a small window to look inside. It was built in 1999 by a local family.
The right chapel is much smaller and much older. Its name is
Perweinkapelle and was built in the 16th or 17th century and was built
after seven years of hail. If it worked, don't know. But it looks cute.
Also, don't hit your head, the ceiling is like 1,60 m.
That's it I guess. Hope you had a wonderful day as well!
