I'm back from my tour of Auburn!
It was pretty nice, to some extent, but it kinda got ruined by the rain. The day before we left I decided to take a long walk and ended up with a lot of leg pain, which did not help when it came to all the walking that we ended up doing lol
Let's start from the beginning though. The trip there was fine, albeit slow since we stopped to visit my grandfather. When we arrived in Auburn, the sun was setting. It was beautiful! There's just something so magical about college towns; all the youth and potential, the music blasting from cars, and ongoing events compound into a strange symphony.
Unfortunately, the day of the tour was kind of miserable. It rained for most of the day. I had fun at the student panel and enjoyed all the goodies I got like the lookbook and (free!) t-shirt. The lunch we had was surprisingly fancy, though it didn't taste too good. I went on the housing tour but my jeans got soaked, and I felt sluggish while treading along the campus. I was going to go on the campus tour but because of the rain, we just called it a day and went to the gift shop.
The drive home wasn't good either. We got stuck in heavy traffic for a good forty or so minutes. Then we had to stop for a restroom break, and then we tried to get food, but the restaurant we stopped at was super slow. It just felt like we were never going to get home. My dad had gotten pizza for us before we returned, but by the time we got there, it was cold. Then Purdue lost! To a small school! Man, I was rooting for them, but it was hilarious to see the university's subreddit mald while FDU's fans grew in confidence. It was really endearing lol I really wish I had kept my green socks on, maybe I could have gotten some luck for St. Patrick's Day!
I really wish I could go to Auburn, but we just didn't receive much financial aid. On a lighter note though, I got this Auburn tank top. I can use it as a layer and cover it up, especially if I end up going to UA lol I wore it yesterday, and I wish I had taken a picture, maybe I'll show it off later.
I've been doing some university course research and for whatever reason, it just now occurred to me that I need to test for calculus freshman year. If I don't, then I won't graduate on time like the rest of my peers. Thankfully the math placement test for calculus covers material that I am already familiar with, but I took precalculus junior year. Guess I'm going to need to reach out to a tutor once again; I'm hoping my mom will let me choose another one since I can't really say I liked my SAT math tutor.
Oh, and spring break is coming to a close, and I still haven't done my work. I'll do it all tomorrow, but I now have roughly two weeks until I have to do my AP mock exams! Unfortunately, I'm way too stressed for the weekend that leads us out of spring break. I really need to get a grip, and do the work needed for my AP Stats class, since all of those assignments are going to help up my grade if I do them! No one said that senior year was going to be this hard.
To maintain and increase my resilience, I should probably go to bed. Plus, I need to get back on my regular sleep schedule. Thankfully, I haven't deviated from it too much, but I've had trouble adjusting to daylight savings. I really feel like my body's still functioning under standard time.
Boa noite,
