What are you finding brings you back to the site regularly?
I'd love to hear your views, learn how this site is providing value, how you use it, and how you might hope to use it in future, or improvements that would appeal.
Because I get addicted to writing with penpals, I'm always excited to see if I have messages, =).
I've also been checking out the blogs / groups / forums sections, to see what people are posting.
I remember a big part of the original MySpace, was the music player on everyone's page - that really widened my musical horizons, as I was constantly checking out what friends were listening to and vice versa.
My recent friend Hector is aping this a little - by updating a single blog post with his song of the moment - and I've also seen people embed their spotify playlists on their profiles too - although I need to click to say I allow that embedded content - so there's a bit more friction than with the MySpace music player.
Also, whereas with other social networks, you'd not necessarily meet people, the bond to music on the original MySpace increased the chances of a meet, as you'd end up going to the same musical performances.
That's a bit of an exaggeration, compared to what I actually experienced, as I never met someone at a gig or concert of a mutually followed music artist. I met with Gemma and Papi at a local nightclub - a cheesy pop nightclub, lol - "Walkabouts" - and Gemma was a deep penfriend, and still my friend today - and I'm trying to get her to join this site, and Papi was her friend I got along with because she's stupidly nice to everyone. And then I went to the US for my sister's wedding in 2008, and my plane trip was broken into two flights, allowing for a stop over in Detroit, and I'll never forget the absolute LEGENDS of Detroit music, that were kind enough to meet me in Detroit - got shown around by rapper Brownstudy / Jason Hogans and got to play vintage synths at his house. Then Pirahnahead and Diviniti took time out of a studio session with Les Nubians to come and say hi - it was incredible. And just because I'd been chatting to these artists on MySpace, as fans of their music.
I feel really bad as I had a chance to repay this hospitality in 2016 when Brownstudy visited London, and I was in a bad place with some problems I can't go into here, and ended up letting him down, so I hope some day I can right that wrong, and repay the kindness and hospitality him and Catherine showed me.
Anyway, I've gone off on a tangent...
Would love to hear how you're using Spacehey, and what is getting you coming back to it regularly. Or if you're not - how could it be made more engaging for you?
What are you finding drives your Spacehey engagement?

What motivates me to engage with this website is primarily my blog. I just really enjoy having a digital journal that's kinda out of the way. Thankfully I can't monitor views so it keeps me from feeling paranoid and the comforting feel allows me to express myself freely. Additionally, it's nice to occasionally interact with posts that ask questions (like this one!), and participate in small discussions. I've also enjoyed decorating my page, but also viewing others' blogs and seeing how people just like me like to express themselves.
