custom jacket i painted

a long time ago i thrifted this leather jacket and the previous owner painted some stuff on it, so i had the idea to do a coverup.

i used olive oil to remove as much of the old paint as i could. some of it i couldn't get off so i just painted over it with a thin layer of black to not mess up the texture too much. and the paint i used is just regular acrylic i had lying around. :^) i was just getting into slipknot at the time so i decided to paint joey (my beloved). it wasn't intentional but i think it's a bit reminscient of the subliminal verses alt cover. process photos onwards, if you're interested.

this was my first time customizing any of my clothes like this, honestly i'm not confident enough to wear it out most of the time but it was fun and she is very gorgeous to me. hopefully i can work on more stuff like this in the future:^)
