Learning HTML and CSS

I've been debating on whether or not I want to use layouts for my profile, but after thinking about it, I'd rather create my own. I'm trying to figure out where to start, I tried adding music to my page that automatically plays, but I'm having trouble doing that. So, if anyone out there knows how to that, and can explain it to me in simple terms (because I'm a bit slow when learning new things), I'd appreciate it.

I already have some reference material for the coding, so for now my profile is going to look bland. Bye for now. ☮
