that feeling when youre working on songs you started a long time ago...

i don't know how else to explain this feeling i wish there was an actual word for it. but it's weird working on songs that you started a while ago. like oh a love song? yeah, well, im not in love anymore so this is awkward. but is it a fun song? sure! ill still work on it! will it make people think you're still in love? yeah but i'm not. lol. just to put that out there. i guess you could say what i'm working on when i say 'old songs' are to release a different era of my life so i can just be done with it and move on with newer things now that i have time. is this weird to talk about? hope i'm not alone in this situation....
