Info on my profile playlist

Here's the following information of my playlist on my profile and why I chose them, etc.:

1. Simpleng Tao by Gloc9: The title translates to "Simple Person" and is sung/rapped in Tagalog. The lyrics to the song is about a humble guy being honest about himself and what he could realistically give her instead of wealth. Although he's poor, he's willing to show her how much he loves her with being a simple man. The song can possibly be reversed and aim towards anyone and sung by nearly anyone. It's a sweet and simple song to jam to.
2. Ku Cha by Yihuik & Aioz: The title translates to "Bitter Tea" and is sung as a duet in Mandarin Chinese. I remember the original version of this song from around 2006 being sung by a huge female Taiwanese group and a huge male Taiwanese group as part of the show's OST songs. This song gives nostalgia vibes with a new fresh beat to it. The lyrics itself kind of reflect the relationships on the show these groups were in called Brown Sugar Macchiato.
3. Peach by IU: The title is a translation of a song that I don't remember the original name to in Korean. IU (also known as JiEun Lee) wrote this song around 2013 when she was dealing with tour stuff, particularly in Italy. Somewhere along the way, she released this gem of a song that reflects and is dedicated to her late friend, JinRi Choi (a.k.a. Sulli), when she was alive at the time. IU is a professional musician who sings and writes music.
4. Palagay Ko Mahal Kita by Ice Seguerra: The title roughly translates to "I Think I Love You" and sung in Tagalog. Ice used to be known as Aiza before identifying as transgender and went through the transition process of FTM. When he wrote this song, he identified as female at the time and called herself lesbian, which made the visuals in the video I selected all the more fitting with the lesbian romance going on. The lyrics itself is a beautiful yet playful melody of falling in love... maybe. "Palagay ko" rough translates to "I guess" or "Maybe", "I think", etc. 
5. Gei Wo Ni De Ai by TANK: The title translates to "Give Me Your Love" and sung in Mandarin Chinese. The song is a classic love song of possibly unrequited love yet holding that feeling of closeness with someone you care about, which is what this music video seems to show. DaDong Wang (a.k.a. Jiro Wang) and this actress played their roles well here, especially since these were similar roles in the show they played in together called K.O. One: Zhong Ji Yi Ban (Season 1). Jiro plays the troubled student who falls in love with his teacher, who seems to be the only one who cares for him. They have innocent fun hanging around each other as close friends, with Jiro's character obviously falling in love, but his teacher maintains the friendship and soon leaves him to travel for work somewhere else. I recommend watching this season and this music video to get what I'm describing.
6. Choice by Minho: This song was sung in Korean by Minho Choi. Minho is a rapper from a South Korean band called SHINee. This song comes from his first mini album called Chase. The lyrics seem to paint a picture of dealing with life choices on your own while taking care of your own mental health. It's got a punchy beat to listen to while dancing. I feel as though Minho put this song in this album as a way of expressing how he's been feeling while giving a light-hearted beat and melody.
7. Ulan by Cueshe: The title translates to "Rain" and sung in Tagalog. Cueshe is a Filipino rock band which has been well-known since the early 2000s. I couldn't find much of a translation in English, but based on my understanding of the lyrics as a fellow Filipino, I find that the song is about life's struggles, much like how hard the rain pours down onto the asphalt. The mood reflects how much a person is hurt by this relationship he was just in. 
8. Er Zuo Ju by Ariel Lin: The title translates to "Practical Joke" or "Prank" and sung in Mandarin Chinese. This song was part of an OST in a show that's a Taiwanese version of It Started With a Kiss manga. YiChen Lin (a.k.a. Ariel Lin) is the lead actress on the show who portrays a simple-minded girl who has a crush on a popular smart guy in school, but he rejects her immediately, only to find out he has to live with her and her father once he sees his parents greeting the man as if they were best friends for years. The journey of the show is perfectly beautiful and corny, and there's even a sequel to the show! I recommend to always watch this original version of the manga storyline because of the chemistry between the main lead characters. The song itself describes how the characters both feel about each other during the course of the show.
9. 02:34 by Jonghyun: The song was sung/rapped in Korean by the late Jonghyun Kim. He was the lead vocalist in SHINee before his suicide due to monoxide poisoning in December 17, 2017. It was revealed in a letter and text conversations that Jonghyun had depression, and now his laid-back music with odd lyrics have slowly made sense. As someone with depression as well, I can recognize this and empathize. This song in particular has a light-hearted melody with a beat that you can vibe to at a coffee shop. Written in the lyrics is reminiscing the past with friends in a light-hearted message of wanting to return back when things were feeling good, even though they could be a little embarrassing at times. 
10. Fallin' by Regine Velasquez: The song was sung in English by a Filipino named Regine Velasquez. This may be the only English lyrics within this playlist. The lyrics simply paint a narrative of being scared of falling in love and sharing that intimacy with someone, yet yearning for that and feeling frustrated. This also has a coffee shop vibe to the beat as you relax in your seat and reminisce on nostalgic memories. This was originally supposed to be a laid-back playlist of foreign music (i.e. Asian languages), but I couldn't find many that didn't have English for Filipino music. This is because many Filipinos nowadays either recycle classic English songs to cover in their albums or make new English songs for the sake of an international audience. I grew up with this narrative and am at least glad that the country is slowly producing more Tagalog-written music that fits in with modern music genres.
11. Li Xiang Qi Ren by ChengLin Yang: The title translates to "Ideal Lover" and sung in Mandarin Chinese. ChengLin (a.k.a. Rainie Yang) had this song in an OST album for a show called Devil Beside You. This show sparks a beautiful and crazy love story, despite depicting a subtle idea of step-incest? Long story short, Rainie's character and the lead actor of the show are classmates who kind of annoy each other in a way, especially with the lead actor's character's reputation, but find they have to live with each other because Rainie's character's mom and the guy's dad plan to get married... which is around the time these youngsters slowly fall in love with each other through a bunch of misunderstandings. Confused? Go and watch the show to figure out the plot. I promise it... kind of ends well? Regardless, this song is a simple recollection of what a girl daydreams about within a love letter, which is what starts the whole show that this song becomes a part of.
12. GANADARA by Jay Park feat. IU: The title of the song is a learning process of the Korean ABCs, but the concept played out here in the lyrics means the learning process of falling in love with someone, especially when that person has a different language and culture to your own. This is the first collaboration that someone like Jaebom Park (a.k.a. Jay Park, the Korean American hip hop artist, dancer, and rapper) and someone like IU (dubbed as South Korea's "Nation's Little Sister" since she first debuted officially on 2008) would ever join forces for, and international fans scream in joy for how wonderful this song is. It's the perfect song for falling in love with someone who is different from you in many ways, yet you both click together and are willing to put in the work together. I recommend watching the music video to this, because it is hilarious! They portrayed a perfect harmonious relationship of two opposites attracting.
13. Sa Iyo by Sarah Geronimo: The title roughly translates to "It's Yours" and is sung in Tagalog. This is a very pop-feel kind of music to dance to, and perfectly represents Filipino joy of entertainment in the early 2000s. The lyrics resonate a message on a typical love song that supports the person you're in love with, devoting your whole attention to the person there who's sticking beside you in that relationship. This was the closest I could get to a certain vibe on this profile for Tagalog songs.
14. Ai Wo by YuZhe Tang: The title translates to "Love Me" and is sung in Mandarin Chinese. YuZhe Tang (a.k.a. Danson Tang) had this as his sort-of official song. (I believe there was another one before this that tells a cute narrative and is a lot more mellow in an unrequited crush sort of way.) This song is a rocker-feel kind of declaration for the person you're in love with. It's almost a demand of telling someone you like to love them, but in an endearing kind of way where there are raw emotions at stake to show to the person you're in love with. Danson is really good at making songs like this, but I wish he had more of this lately. He's made great music since then, but not as much as the rock-kind of concept that this song holds dear to anyone who's kept track of this guy during the 2000s in Taiwan.
15. Nappa by Crush: The title roughly translates to "Bad" and is sung/rapped in Korean. I found this song in a morning playlist I sometimes play when I'm in the shower with my phone in the bathroom. The lyrics express something hurt and thoughtful of how a guy admits he's bad in the relationship and how he sucks at taking care of the girl he likes, yet the beat puts in a happy mood vibe. I guess, in a way, it's a playful acknowledgement of the message, "Hey, baby, I'm sorry - blame it on me. I still am very into you, so please do forgive me? Though, I understand that you can't, because we've grown distant with the way I've been acting." Girls go crazy over that kind of bad boy confession (as long as it's not abusive in any way).
