National Novel Writing Month Is Upon Us

Some of you know we are, at this moment, smack dab in the middle of NaNoWriMo, and it is currently kicking my butt. Not really NaNo as much as having a new puppy to take care of during NaNo. Seriously, try writing about people smooching when you've got a landshark attacking your feet and waking you up at 4am every morning when you're just really Really not a morning person. That's okay, though. National Novel Writing Month is a motivator, and finishing your novel during this month doesn't make you a better or worse author than you were before. The goal is, as always, just to finish. So here's to everyone who wins NaNo this year, and to everyone like me who will likely finish sometime in December if they're lucky, or January if they're being honest with themselves. 

And for anyone else with a new puppy — my thoughts and prayers are with you.
