A dream

I woke up and pulled up the blind. There was a religious procession outside. Penitents were carrying an effigy of Virgin Mary. Thousands of pilgrims followed behind. Someone lit a candle, and everyone burst into flames. I watched the chaos unfold from my window as if it were a movie. I was calm until people climbed the building and banged on the glass. Suddenly my room became a large warehouse, and I was not alone inside. I decided to let the others decide if to help or not. The pilgrims burst through my window and started chasing me. I ran out the back and jumped through a window into a river. It had a weird colour due to pollution. The current was strong, so I let it drag me. I passed by many children in the water. They were crying and begging for help. I stared and ignored them. I eventually reached a dam and climbed out of the river unharmed. It had started raining. There was a bridge above the dam. A group of monks were taking refuge beneath it. We talked about philosophy to pass the time.
