Ryan's Character Sheet :)

Finally getting around to making a post about Ryan's whole story and whatever, since im sure some people have seen my art posts and gone "who tf is this"

Ryan is a fanmade character of mine to fit into the Hylics game(s) universe, and may also serve as a general online persona. Their name comes from/is a pun on the constellation Orion, where "Ryan" is derived from the end of the name. This is in reference to their star-shaped face!

Age: Probably around 29 in our terms

Gender: Unlabelled nonconforming intersex

Pronouns: Any and all, he/they/she being used the most

Sexuality: Achillean(?)

Personality: Mostly an existential nihilist that struggles to find meaning outside of what they were created for (being a lunar guard). They gradually learn optimism from those they meet on Earth. He is very strict about avoiding embarrassment and what may be considered "childlike behavior", hence the stuck-up attitude. He is also very curious in general about the world around him.

Likes: the moon, space, Wayne larvae, spending time alone, drawing, reading, poetry, the humanities, pre-Accretion anthropology, learning

Dislikes: the Wayne crew (at first), television, anything he deems "redundant," etc etc

Voice claim: Eve (specific song I pulled this from)

Physical Description: A 5' 10" tall humanoid with five prehensile appendages coming from around their face, forming a five-pointed star shape. They have a mostly feminine build, sometimes drawn with a predominant chest, and sometimes without. They are always depicted with a wide rib cage and wide hips, with a thinner waist. Their skin is a very pale lavender and their eyes are downturned and hooded, with the illusion of eyeliner at the outer crease. Usually depicted with bags under their eyes. His eyes have no visible iris, only black pupils. His most common outfit consists of a white bodysuit with flared sleeves and legs, plus a high collar that vaguely resembles a clerical collar, with a black tie underneath. The shoulders of the bodysuit have two points that resemble horns. Their shoes are (exaggerated in artwork below) 4 inch, ankle height pointed heels, where the shoe is white and the heels are black. They wear white, elbow length silk gloves.

Backstory: May contain spoilers for Hylics 1 & 2

Ryan was a servant and guard for Gibby, the first time being a minor guard that disintegrated and whose DNA was stored in the Gibbylet with the instructions to build HylemXylem (headcanon). The second time, he fell from HylemXylem when it was destroyed and washed up on the sand near the Waynehouse. They were sent by Old Wayne to the Afterlife, where they spent some time caring for the new Wayne larvae until it was proved that they weren't a threat. He now spends a decent amount of his time at the Waynehouse, where he built his own small shed and occasionally participates in training. Deep down they may still feel misplaced on Earth, but they are grateful they still have someone to serve.
