Georgia Trip

Yes, my mandatory once a month blog post about my life. Monday I took a trip to a campground in Georgia. Notables from the trip are:

1. VERY PAINFUL HIKING (ow ow ow)

2. Some excellent (and one not-so-excellent) restuarants

3. Watching television all day

4. Sooooo much candy

Without further ado, let me rant about my life.

Hiking

Hiking. Advertised as a fun, relaxing way to get active. Maybe for you abled body folks, but me? I thought I was gonna die. I hiked twice, and both ended up with me in pain. The first time was actually quite enjoyable. The trail was longer than it was inclined, meaning I was able to better regulate my bpm. The walk back was torture, as I was going up hills I went down previously, and it made my chest hurt a bit. Drank a little too much water and got a headache. Overall not that bad.
The second hike however? I know what my afterlife will be if I don't square up and become a good christian. It was almost entirely incline. I took so many breaks, and my chest hurt so bad. If I was going to go into cardiac death that would have been the time. I stayed attached to my dad's bookbag most of the hike, using him to support myself as I suffered. I could not get a handle on my breathing. It sucked.
Surely that's the last of it right? I only hiked twice. After the second one I was done? NO! When I got back to the camper I proceeded to have the worst heart palpitations and arrythmia of my life. It last two hours. Two hours of me lying on the couch, still, with my bpm at 110-120.
Safe to say, hiking is not for me. Even though I got it cleared by my doctor, it simply sucked too much.

Cuisine

The food was legitimately spectacular. The first place we visited was this cute cafe. Their tea? To die for. Obviously I didn't try the coffee (look at previous topic) but it must have been good because my dad stopped there on our way home, and that parking lot was not 40ft camper friendly. They also had an amazing blackberry scone.
While at the cafe, we were recommended a Cuban restaurant. That place? Also to die for. I don't even remember what I got, but I know that if I don't find a local Cuban restaurant soon I might die. The last place we ate out was a barbecue place, and it was unimpressive. The food was over priced, the service not good, and the dude at the host stand rubbed me the wrong way. But everything else was perfection.

Television

Do you know how much television you can watch in a week? I'll tell you. An entire season of the Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and most of Danny Phantom. Sue me, I like my cartoons. I got my brother hooked too.

Candy

On our first day we found a cute candy/wood shop. We bought some great soap and wooden trucks for my brother at the wood shop... and so so so much candy from the candy shop. The couple who worked at the candy store were the sweetest, and the husband looked like santa. We spent waayyy to much money, im serious, but it was so good. Good enough that now we want to buy a freeze drier. Don't buy freeze dried candy, it's an addiction.

Well that's enough about me. In conclusion: hiking sucks, tea good (I really want a chai latte rn), Danny Phantom >>>, don't do drugs.
