No internet friends ??

I don’t have a huge group of real-life friends, but Ive always had one or two at a time. But like. It feels weird that Ive never had online friends at any point, especially considering the amount of time I spend online,,,, haha

Ive used social media for years, and now Im an older teenager who’s practically grown up on online communication, and yet Ive never really used the internet for conversation or connection or whatever words are used nowadays. Just never known how, I guess. 

Its not because Im particularly social in real life, thats certain. Ive actually had a couple of my friends add me to group chats with their online friends, and it always goes okay. These friends tend to do pretty well socially both online and in real life, so thats not a factor (I don’t think??). It just never sticks, if that makes sense. 

Maybe its a little odd, or at the very least unusual, that at my age, with the (unfortunately high) amount of time I spend online, Ive never actually befriended a single person, on a single account. Or maybe its a blessing, I can see why it would be, haha. I get that Im shy but I think that this is pushing it a little far yknow
