It's 12:30am rn, a social unacceptable hour to practice guitar in a shared space. Sigh. I'm going to fill the void by ranting about guitars instead.
I dont want to go through the trouble of figuring out how to post actual pics of my guitars, so ill just use google images.
Guitar #1: It's a black fender squier stratocaster, mine has dice for the tone and volume knobs though. His name is Rorschach, like from watchmen. I have some MCR stickers I want to put on it, but im afraid of commitment lmao. Eventually I want to make a custom pickguard with an inkblot on it, but that requires more tools and resources than I have atm.
It's a great workhorse! Sometimes the tone's a bit too bright cause of the SSS set up, but I like the classic sound a lot.
Guitar #2: This one's a fender squier starcastor, of the sunburst variety. His name is Rion, like orion but pronounced like ryan. I picked this one up recently and I love it so much. The semi-hollow body and the humbuckers make such a thick, heavy tone!! It handles distortion like a champ, I don't need a fuzz pedal cause I can just crank the distortion on my RAT, switch to the neck pickup, and crank the volume.
The weird body shape makes transportation kind of a pain, though. I managed to find an acoustic bag that it fits in pretty well, but finding a hardcase for this thing is probably not possible :[
Now that I've introduced my sweethearts meet my white whale:
This fuckin thing. This is a epiphone wilshire phantomatic. Frank iero you bastard how could you do this to me. I've only seen one, count em ONE (1), reverb listing for one of these. It was like $800. fml. I swear to Brian May and the rest of the guitar gods im going to get my grubby paws on one of these some day.
Anyways, I'm obsessed with the phantomatic's body shape and pickguard. It's also supposed to be pretty light, which i prefer. My first guitar was an ibanez GIO and I could've killed a bear with that damn thing. Loved it though (rip eddie, onto greener pastures).
Anyways. This has satisfied my practicing itch somewhat. Might spend the rest of the night scouring guitar tabs
EDIT: wow the formatting on this looks like shit. Well i tried
