funny to read this, as someone who stumbled across the site accidentally while googling images of old myspace profiles to use for an art project.

i got drawn to spacehey because of the profile customization as someone who loved tumblr for that reason, but i think one significant source of users this past march came from the app called vent. vent was slated to shut down, and there was a large influx of users who decided to jump ship over here as their social media alternative. i don't think many of these users stuck around (especially since vent revived itself), but i'm pretty sure there was a not-insignificant number of profiles made due to that!
