"Pip is about to head to college, but she is still haunted by the way her last investigation ended. She’s used to online death threats in the wake of her viral true-crime podcast, but she can’t help noticing an anonymous person who keeps asking her: Who will look for you when you’re the one who disappears?
Soon the threats escalate and Pip realizes that someone is following her in real life. When she starts to find connections between her stalker and a local serial killer caught six years ago, she wonders if maybe the wrong man is behind bars.
Police refuse to act, so Pip has only one choice: find the suspect herself—or be the next victim. As the deadly game plays out, Pip discovers that everything in her small town is coming full circle... and if she doesn’t find the answers, this time she will be the one who disappears..."

this book was so good! an unsatisfyingly satisfying ending for the trilogy. it was suspenseful, nerve-wracking, and kept me on the edge of my seat the entire book. it made me feel really bad for pip, and i actually felt really frustrated when it looked like she was losing the fight. BUT BOY, the scheme at the end was INSANE. i thought they would get caught the entire time, but they did...
...n't. IT WAS SO STRESSFUL ISTG. AND THE END WHEN RAVI AND PIP COULDNT TALK WAS SO SAD :(. but the end was resolving so everything was fine. im also really happy max got what he deserved. it's also implied that billy karras was getting out of jail and jason was being inspected as the dt killer which was also really resolving. the only thing i wish was included more was pip questioning her morals and charlie green. i feel like after the second half of the book she just stopped mentioning him? idk maybe i just accidentally skipped over some parts, but i think it would have been really interesting to see her questioning whether or not she did the right thing, or if she saw herself in charlie.
sorry for the messy review, this book was just so... it left me speechless. definitely worth the read if you've enjoyed the series so far.
my star rating ★★★★☆ (4.5/5)

----- side notes -----
☆ seeing everything come around full circle was also really resolving. as well as jason's emotional abuse to andie and becca, it made their decisions make so much more sense
