First of all: I’m not selling a TV. This is a PSA. Don’t be one of those suckers on eBay who’d pay $100+ On an old CRT. So as I did last night and go to a thrift store and go to their electronics aisle. They may or may not have one. Maybe multiple. Maybe none. They only cost a few bucks. There were two at the place I went. Actually three, except the third one wasn’t for sale since they play tapes on it. I needed a new one since my Zenith TV-VCR combo started having this weird frying sound when I turn it off. Anyhoo, one was from SHARP and was white. It cost $5 and I assume the other did too. They both had tags that said they work. I just grabbed the black one. It’s Samsung and it matches my VCR, which is also Samsung. I brought it to the counter and the lady said since there was no price tag it’s mine for $3. Damn. I said it’s a deal and gave her $5. The change went to a pet shelter that the place puts some of the profits towards. I put it in the car and surrounded it with some pillows. I went back inside to see what tapes they had. Long story short I walked out with a sealed Gone with the Wind, another one except it wasn’t sealed and it came in some box like a diamond platinum collection thingy. It also came with a booklet and “Frankly I don’t give a damn” t shirt order form. I’m 37 years late on it but maybe they still except late orders. I also got Jumanji, MIB, The Wizard of Oz, Into the Woods, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, Wallace and Gromit Collection, The Sound of Music, and a NatGeo Titanic movie. Oh yeah, whatever the third Austin Powers movie is, too. Last night I spent just under thirty dollars. Bang. Don’t be a sucker who overspends on eBay. Thank you for coming to my TEDtalk.

Thanks for Into the Woods, bro. Next time we need to find Sunday in the Park with George and Sweeney Todd.

I got my tube TV for nothing. My parents upgraded to a flat screen in their bedroom, and their CRT was still working, so I simply took it into my room. It's still there and still functional, though I barely use it (combination of ADHD and wanting to preserve the CRT for as long as possible).
