What it's like being trans

So growing up I never really learned much about the LGBTQ+ community. All my dad ever told me was that gay people were against god and it was never okay to be gay. Naturally, as I grew older I started having my own mindset and straying away from what my dad taught me. When I was about fourteen, I had a kik, and being curious, I joined an LGBTQ+ group, which was the start of my journey. I didn't really start questioning my gender until at least seventeen, I had first came out as non-binary and that stuck for a while, and even though it was on the right track on how I saw myself, it still never really felt like me. Ever since I was younger, I always imagined what it was like to be a girl but I never really had a term for that and I definitely didn't think it was possible. I thought for awhile that I may be a trans woman but I always felt pressured and anxious about identifying as trans. I learned that it's okay to be trans and not to care what anyone else thinks about me. I am now mostly out as a trans woman and also go by demigirl. I am so happy with where my life is now and I couldn't be more grateful
