Recurring places/motifs in dreams

I'm sure someone's at least talked about this by now, but do people have any recurring places or motifs in dreams which may seem consistent? Do you also think you'd know your personal reasons for them? I'm not exactly talking about places that show up in your dreams that happen to be the same, but more or less some kind of theme that keeps showing up.

For me, I'll get a dream every now and then within a setting of some kind of shopping mall - typically with long walking spaces and glass railings along the upper floors. This is most likely a thing because I did frequently go to shopping malls a lot while accompanying my parents as a child up until I was in my late teens, so I'm guessing the familiarity and culmination of shopping malls I've been to just happen to manifest indescribably in my dreams. If I was fully conscious in them I would have thought it'd be a real liminal space, but it seemed completely normal to me (clueless).

How about you guys?

Omg! Yes! There is this old abandoned and delapadated house in alot of my nightmares... Usually I move inside the walls or vents, I've dreamed about the house so often that my brain has gotten used to the layout... It's almost like a maze!!! Even though they are nightmares it's really intresting to think about... i think alot of my normal dreams also take place similarly to my thoughts where its just ideas and images... or almost animations of cartoons?

Ohh that's super interesting, I think mapping it out could be really cool. Would it have been more of an indoor labyrinth? I totally get the animated/cartoonish-ness of dreams since mine are quite similar, some to the point where I have to question like wait am I watching something.. and then I wake up and realize that it wasn't real <:D
