Today I got my blood drawn for the first time. I was fine but as I walked out of the testing center my vision went narrow and I could feel the onset of panic, I got to the car just barely and felt like I couldn't breathe. My hands started to go numb, my mom tried to calm me down with some breathing exercises but I could focus on was the numbness. She quickly gave me her apple watch and told me to follow the breathing exercise. I followed along the best I could but things just kept becoming more and more numb. I was hyperventilating! I attempted to ignore it and keep breathing in... 1... 2... 3... out 1... 2... 3... Then my mom started to drive us home. The thought of being home and having my dog there for me was enough to calm me slightly. As we continued home I felt feeling come back first around my head then near my legs. Once we got home greeted by the loving barking of my dog I rushed to the couch. After giggling at myself and petting my dog I finally felt normal.
Overall 8/10 experience. Got to see my own blood but it was a little scary feeling my body go numb. Hopefully everything comes back good so I can keep on going with HRT! (and my other meds)
