About getting into DnD

Ive tried a couple of times to get into it with my current friends but somehow it just hasn’t worked out. I also know of a gaming center that does weekly DnD nights at the perfect time for my schedule, but one of my friends goes there already and I don’t wanna seem clingy or anything yknow. To top it off I have no online friends because Im Too Nervous

With this in mind whats the easiest way to get into playing DnD. Please help Im desp
