apple train of thought...

Selamat pagi! Today's talking about injuries, so use discretion!

Whenever I cut apples, i think for a moment that I regret not carving something fun, like rabbit apples...! but then it occurs to me that i'm not at all masterful with a blade, either... σ(￣、￣〃)
Remember the bulletin a few weeks ago, I cut my hand trying to cut a bagel and then passed out from blood loss? (ah, yeah, it's embarrassing...) it scarred over, my fingerprint is totally gone and it's a dent now.. so, was that a worthy sacrifice for a ring of bread... NO WAY...! ( ᄑ_ᄑ)

BUT, look, if I can't even cut a bagel, I won't do any fun tricks with my food, either... I'll end up losing a limb somehow!

I'm actually pretty fond of scars I get, and I'm clumsy, so I gathered a lot of them. (*＾-゜) Like there's a big one on my knee from when I was a kid. My neighbors had a sweet dog twice my size, I felt brave that day so I went to walk him. It would be lots of fun, anyway! I could have a nice walk with the cute dog... but, suddenly, the dog got so excited and ran off, so I got dragged up the street on asphalt!! (ﾉಥ益ಥ)ﾉ
IT WAS HORRIFYING... I remember it was annoying to treat, my mom is sort of old-fashioned so she would sit me over the bathtub and pour alcohol to clean it... sure, it cleans the opening, but, look, I'm scarred for life now, on my leg and in my mind... (￣_￣)・・・

There was another time when I was in high school, I somehow stabbed a pencil into my knee during class... AND THE LEAD BROKE INSIDE ME!! Σ(°ロ°|||)︴
My teacher wouldn't dismiss me, so I went all the way to gym, where the principal was. He saw the lead and our conversation went a bit like:

"...Pocchi, what happened?"
"Oh! I was stabbed."
"...how the hell did it happen?"
"I don't know! (」°ロ°)」"
"Go to the nurse already."

I did. The nurse took one look, tried to make me take it out... i couldn't. So it was 'have an ice pack and get out of here' for me... (￣ε(#￣) That day I walked all the way home with a lead embedded in my flesh, and I had to perform intricate surgery on myself. It's out, but, there's a blue-ish black dot on my leg to this day, though it happened years ago it's pretty dark.

There's a lot of scars, like I burnt my hand on a rice cooker, and now you can see it turn red when I blush or when I get out of a hot bath... or when I laughed and smacked my knee while holding a pen and stabbed a hole into my thigh (I'm not good with writing utensils, evidently)... or when I got tangled in a chain link fence during P.E., my friends pulled me out, but there's scarring up and down my ankle!!! (;;;*_*)

There's other marks too, like birthmarks and such... I was always a pretty scrawny type, but I got lots of stretchmarks only on my knees and all along back for some reason during puberty? They're lighter than the actual skin and are pretty dramatic and stripey, it looks like the bottom of the pool when sun hits it in the summer. ┐(￣∀￣)┌

I used to be pretty self-conscious about it when I first started getting them in school, I'd hug my knees if I had to wear shorts and always face the other girls when changing... ε=ε=ε=ε=┌(;￣▽￣)┘ once I was sitting with a girl in PE and she noticed it and asked what they are, so I yielded and shamefully explained... and she immediately went "SO COOL!! It's like you're a tiger! I want them too!!"
I could have cried, I was so happy. (#｀-_ゝ-) I think that's why, these days, I'm happy about all the marks and imperfections on my body, and I like seeing them on other people too! I get nosy and ask about scars all the time (if I think they look menial or unimportant, I won't pry if it looks serious, it can be a hard subject sometimes!), or if I see someone has a bandaid. It's just so interesting to me...

that was a lot of typing, I think I'll shut up for a while... i disclosed all my weaknesses to my enemies!

SO! Do you have a bad track record getting hurt? what strange scars are there? what stories do they have? I like hearing it all the time!
