My First Activewear

Gym Clothes?

Recently I decided that I want better for myself, including having a more active lifestyle. Last year I spent a lot of my time being in a relationship and gained a little extra here and there which wouldn't be a problem BUT I have sensitive skin and if it rubs together it causes the worst skin irritation. So today I did something I've never done before. I went to the mall, walked into a few different stores, and I specifically shopped for gym clothes which meant I tried them on. This is a massive deal because I've never had the confidence to wear gym clothes. I grew up with ED, body dysmorphia and all that fun stuff and there are some stores I won't go into or clothes I won't try on as a small part of the PTSD that comes with it. BUT, I did it. I spent A LOT of money but I got some really nice pieces, and they fit beautifully.

I went to Cotton On Body and they had some really nice pieces for decent prices so I got a few things from there, Target had the bare minimum so I only got one top, and Lorna Jane was awesome. The clothes there are the best material and have such cute designs, it's expensive but worth it. Let me know where you buy your activewear from, would love to hear from other people.

Great chatting with you babe, talk soon xx - Princess

I hope your new workout clothes help you feel like your best self! But I also hope you continue to prioritize your mental health throughout your fitness journey, because body dysmorphia is no joke... Take good care of yourself and know that you are wonderful no matter what! <3

Thanks babe, I'm definitely prioritising my mental health. The mind is the biggest part of a working person so it has to be sharp and healthy! xx
