Retrospective on Pick me girls

Let's start this off plain and simple I was a pick-me girl (This will sort of be a continuation of the analysis of one's self-series I have started) 

Let's go back to 3rd grade when I believe it all started, you have to understand that I was not popular in any way. I wasn't even the nerd yet that happened later. First and foremost my clothing style was primarily atrocious consisting of old navy girl boss shirts iykyk and hand-me-downs from my cousin. I had the personality of the wooden desks we sat in every day. So as time went on I gained a character that was picked from popular people around me. 

I tried everything to fit in, for example, all the cool kids had lunchables for every lunch so I tried to get my mom to pack me Lunchables. I practically stalked all the "cool" kids back then just so I could say I was around them. My music taste was basically non-existent but what I did listen to was dubstep. This is the exact song i listened to during a project in 5th grade. 

Now, this fit-in or stay-out mentality stuck all the way till 6th grade when it hit its peak. My style then was even worse. It consisted of again old navy clothes but this time its a boring blue and purple plain shirt and a neon orange watch. This was also when I shaved half my hair off which my friends still like to bug me about to this day. This garnered a lot of unwanted bullying but subtle bullying. Back then people would call me names just because I thought that hairstyle looked cool. 

I also had a MAJIOR problem of not brushing my teeth very often which ik ik its disgusting I am aware of that but trust me that bit- is dead now. I was so awkward as well I also put no effort into my self-image not caring whatsoever which I don't think was a good thing. I honestly could not tell you what my mentality was back then but I can tell you I was one socially awkward person.

For my personality, I guess it's... I hate this word but I have to use it "QuIrKY". I did weird things to get people's attention. This is also when people started to categorize me as the "smart girl" which just means they pretend to be my friend just to get me to do their work for them. Or it meant that I just paid attention. My music taste was still dubstep idk why but it was.  This also the exact song I listened to during a math assignment in 7th grade. Throughout that year I also gained a side label known as "teacher's pet". My personality was so much like those pick-me girl videos that it put them to shame. Thats all i have for today. Bye Babes ;)
