post con sleepy!

emerald city comic con was absurdly fun this weekend. i really, really enjoyed it and i'm so glad we went. i'm a little surprised i didn't end up there for more hours, but i'm proud of myself and ren for listening to our bodies and not forcing ourselves to go more than we could physically handle.

i bought a lot of cool stuff--and maybe found a new favorite tea shop in town!!--and hung out with mel and ren which was amazing. went to the "under the sea" prom with ren, and it was. some of the most fun i've had in a long time. i've always been a stay-on-the-edges, don't get involved kind of person, so i was surprised at both myself and ren for actually dancing the whole time we were there.

it feels like a bit of like. not "making up" for the times in the past where i haven't let myself feel comfortable enough to get involved--including the three high school proms i attended. it makes me want to find my way to things like that slightly more often--though i wish i could trust clubs to play actually good dance music (2000's pop.)

mostly, i'm really thankful for ren. he's not a dancey guy, but he stuck with me through that and let loose and seemed to have just as much fun as i did. it's been two days and i'm still overcome by love and appreciation for him for this (and the con as a whole)!

at this point i am just so, so, so, so sleepy. also i want to clean the house. she's getting a little grungy.
