Ok, I went thrifting yesterday and it feels though DAV is more expensive Goodwill and CHKD. Whenever I go to that store I tend to spend abut $120-$150 for stuff that doesnt seem like alot. Whereas at Goodwill I tend to spent $50 with stuff being worth my money, but the difference is that I do get some decent name brands stuff at a somewhat fair price. I mostly go there for yarn, graphic shirts, oxfords, vans, and sometimes shorts. I scored a lovely pair of black BLACKCRAFT low rise shorts with the skulls in the front. It was a nice deal, but I think I will have to wear it with a massive oversized shirt and fishnet. I like wearing shorts since I'm in my 20s and summer is 40x brutal when you live in a dry state, yet I always wear a shirt that goes down to my thighs or knees. Here are a list of the things I picked up yesterday, excluding some household stuff :
- Elle the Penguin Squishmallow: $10
- Eastland Oxfords: $3.98 or $6.98 (it had two prices)
- Black Blackheart shorts: $10
- Riot Society unisex (I think) sweater: $10
- 2 bags of yarn: $6.98( I guess since it was still brand new) and $3.98
- A Black shirt with a comic lightning print from shein (I dont shop on the site these days): $10
- A plaid green, yellow, and black overall dress( You can get it from a company called Rainbow, my family has been shopping there for years since I live in NY): $10
- A Black long sleeve shirt: $5
- A grey Thrasher T-shirt: $6
- A Fashion Nova lightning print crop top: $8
- An oversized pastel colored ombre print T-shirt or oversized shirt???: $4
Anywho, I was passing the time washing these stuff and I cam across a site called "shopgoodwill" which is basically like an auction site from all the goodwills in the country. I was searching about the site and did a random guess to see if it was legit, aparently they have alot of things. Ranging from sneakers, accessories, household items, artwork, vinyl CDs,etc. I was tempted to buy a RH or MH doll and try to clean it to the best of my ability but I'll think about it. It was mind blowing and super irritating to know that they sell all these items sligthly cheaper than the actual store, and i've been to all three in my area! They even had a pair of purple converse that I was dying to get for years only to find out a slightly used by new one is being sold for a crazy cheap price......only problem its a bigger size than what I wear, I wear a size 7.5/8. What drove me up the wall is that in a sense it does make alot of sense to place some bidding on certain items that has aot competition if its a collectors item but the ordeal that I can get more for my money is pure shock.
Im still between many emotions of shock, rage, irritation, a happiness.
