after making an acoustic video together, Brian Dunne, reached out about a potential music video together for the lead single of his upcoming album for kill rock stars. After some brainstorming we quickly landed on the concept of lightly paying homage to After Hours by Martin Scorsese.
In mapping out what came next those guard rails were deeply beneficial, from the wardrobe to location to the time of day.
We met in the lower east side of Manhattan at 3am and filmed until the sun came up. Something I love about film making is the situations it puts you in. I never would have walked around city watching the city wake up, but it’s a moment I’ll remember forever.
We filmed this video on the black magic pocket camera 6k with sigma 18-35 art lens and ronin rs3pro. To really dial in the color of the video we used dehancer and really leaned into the grain and the bloom of all the lights.
