in tears. (aot spoilers)

I'm ranting about the new AOT episode, so don't read it if you plan on seeing it at a later date because I have EMOTIONS that I need to release by writing.

So... a bit self explanatory, but I watched the new Attack On Titan episode and I'm not happy. Actually, I am because they're finally releasing new episodes, but also not? My feelings are all over the place rn.

The waterworks started within the first five minutes tbh, but then I cheered up as soon as my favorite character appeared. That's Armin, by the way. I used to have a crush on him until I realized that he's literally just a drawing, but he's still my favorite character (probably in the history of every anime I've seen, tbh). Anyway.

I've been waiting for the scene with Armin and Annie to be animated for as long as I can remember being a fan and it's more than I could have hoped for. Watching him try to confess his love for her and totally failing? The best scene in the episode, purely because it was the only one to make me smile. The rest was all angst.

The rest is just everybody solving the trolley problem (on a more massive scale) with Eren, Zeke, Floch, and Yelena giving the wrong answer.

Floch's dying words were, "let the rumbling happen guys, Eren knows what he's doing," and Hange was like, "I do not respect this man's dying wish." AND THEY'RE RIGHT.

And then AFTER THAT, Hange had to turn into a literal firework. l:(

Everyone's like, "I want to save Eren if possible because we were besties and I don't want to kill him." And I know some fans agree, but I don't. I've always disliked Eren because he started out as an angry, unhappy little punk who would be more than a hassle to babysit. I did kind of hope that he would want to cease this nonsense, but seeing that he made his decision (and, not to mention, killed MILLIONS OF PEOPLE), nah. He can die.

And sadly, I'll have to watch this again. I usually watch AOT dubbed, but for the past season, I've been watching as episodes were released. And subs come out first, so I watch that and then wait for the dub to come out. And so when the dub comes out, I will be doing this again with the exact same emotions as I have now.

That's all. that's the post.

honestl-in my opinion and i totally respect yours- i think eren had to do what he did. yes he killed many people-innocents, evil, and more- but it was for the good. we all have to agree that reiner, and beetroot, and annie and many of the forced kids who turned into titans had been forced and did it against their will. i will forever forgive my bbg reiner but there were a lot of mistakes and wrongs and wrongful killings. but shown from different perspectives those people had to turn thwir back on humanity. eren was also just a tenneager when he died, he had to grow responisble at such young age to save the world. he was a very well written character and so were the others. The show overall shows evilness, innocents getting killed, and how strong a persons will can be to the point to wipe out 80% of humanity for a better future of the people. aot will forever be my favorite anime, AND PLEASE DONT MIND MY UGLY GRAMMAR.
