GIANT PHANTOM JELLYFISH [Stygiomedusa gigantea]
They are an extremely rare species of jellyfish (duh) and they can be found in the deep sea. Theyre believed to be widespread troughout the world, with the exception of the Arctic Ocean.
Not much is known about them, they have only been spotted around 126 times since 1910. They have tentacles that reach up to 10 meters long!
It cant actually stun you - its long "mouth arms" are only there for trapping prey rather than stinging!
The bottom of its bell looks kinda like a mushroom.
PHACELLOPHORA CAMTSCHATICA, commonly known as THE FRIED EGG JELLYFISH
(or the egg-yolk jellyfish, it doesnt matter)
Its a very lagre species! it can be easily identified from the yellow coloration in the center of its body that resembles an egg yolk.
Its primary prey is zooplankton and other jellyfish (damn this ones a cannibal!).
DOES THE STING HURT???
short answer: nope
long answer: the sting has very little effect on humans. In fact - its so mild that the jellies tentacles provide shelter for small fish!
ALRIGHT THATS ALL (for now...)! thank you 4 reading i hope it wasnt that bad AND I HOPE U HAVE AN AMAZING REST OF UR DAY!!
