i made an acorn necklace !!
the top is too small for the bottom part of the acorn so it wont close properly :(
it looks fine from afar tho, this is just a prototype so ill make a better version another time :)
oh yeah, you can find smol items (like crystals), but they might fall out
rip my fingers, i had to make the holes with a safety pin and it took forever lol

----- how to make one yourself! -----
you'll need:
- acorn
- string
- scissors or knife
- safety pin, sewing or embroidery needle
- (optional) beads, clasps, jumprings
1. find a cool and epic acorn. MAKE SURE THE TOP AND BOTTOM ARE FROM THE SAME ACORN AND FIT TOGETHER WELL. dont make the same mistake i did
2. make sure no critters are living in there, you dont want to evict them from their own home
3. separate the top and bottom. this should be easy
4. hollow out the bottom of the acorn. you may need to trim around the acorn to empty it (there might be a seed/nut in there)
5. pierce the bottom of the acorn at the bottom with a hole. make sure its big enough to fit the string
6. do the same for the top. this will be infinitely harder. you have to slowly pick away the the acorn and your safety pin WILL bend in half. youll need to unbend it and keep going anyways. be careful, dont stab yourself.
7. get some string that can fit around your neck. fold it in half, and tie the bottom (where the string folds in half) with a knot. string the acorn onto the string. (you can add a bead or charm onto the little loop at the bottom)
8. add claps or beads if you want
9. tie or clasp the thing closed
10. fill with stuff (or dont)
cool! you now have an epic necklace :) if you need further guidance, i took inspo/followed these tiktoks:
