shitty horror movie recommendations pt.2

This movie is good as fuckkk. i wouldn't call this a horror movie though definitely more drama/ thriller. SOoo effing good tho i really liked it. If you like DRAMA then i think you will like this. Satisfying ending too 

• Lake Mungo: After 16-year-old Alice Palmer drowns in a local dam, her family experiences a series of strange, inexplicable events centred in and around their home. Unsettled, the Palmers seek the help of psychic and parapsychologist, who discovers that Alice led a secret, double life. At Lake Mungo, Alice's secret past emerges.

Just not a fan of this one. I thought it was boring. Admittedly, one part was creepy but everything else about it was just meh. It's filmed like documentary/interview style so not a lot of action going on. 

• Haunt: On Halloween, a group of friends encounter an "extreme" haunted house that promises to feed on their darkest fears. The night turns deadly as they come to the horrifying realization that some nightmares are real.

I loved this movie!! It was scary, it was gory, good ending, nothing else i could ask for.

• Come Play: A lonely young boy feels different from everyone else. Desperate for a friend, he seeks solace and refuge in his ever-present cell phone and tablet. When a mysterious creature uses the boy’s devices against him to break into our world, his parents must fight to save their son from the monster beyond the screen.

This movie was sooo good! Genuinely freaked me out. The laser and sticky hand scene made me just about shat myself omg

• Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey: Christopher Robin is headed off to college and he has abandoned his old friends, Pooh and Piglet, which then leads to the duo embracing their inner monsters.

Okay hear me outttt! The gore in this movie is pretty damn good. Storyline is okayy I didnt understand why Winnie the pooh looked yellow and more like the cartoon; meanwhile, piglet looked more realistic and didnt look like the cartoon at all. I just thought those two didnt really go together like why do one almost exactly like the cartoon and then the other one nothing like the cartoon ?? The characters are dumb but i mean its a horror movie cant complain too much about that. This movie isnt scary, but it's gory and it's entertaining for sure. 

• Wolf Creek : Stranded backpackers in remote Australia fall prey to a murderous bushman, who offers to fix their car, then takes them captive.

I like this one. not the scariest thing ive ever seen but it's a realistic / based on true story horror movie 

• The Empty Man: After a group of teens from a small Midwestern town begin to mysteriously disappear, the locals believe it is the work of an urban legend known as The Empty Man. As a retired cop investigates and struggles to make sense of the stories, he discovers a secretive group and their attempts to summon a horrific, mystical entity, and soon his life—and the lives of those close to him—are in grave danger.

 Okay first of all this movie is wayyy too long literally about 2 and a half HOURS long like holy shit. Second, the characters are pretty unlikeable its hard to even root for someone. Third, the beginning is good i will give it that but once that part ends and it gets into like the actual plot of the movie and introduces the main character it gets worse as it goes on. 

• Cam: A young camgirl discovers that she’s inexplicably been replaced on her site with an exact replica of herself.

This isnt a scary movie but i did like it. 

• His House: After making a harrowing escape from war-torn South Sudan, a young refugee couple struggle to adjust to their new life in a small English town that has an unspeakable evil lurking beneath the surface.

I had such high hopes for this one after seeing reviews but I just could not get into it! It was too weird for me idk 

• Husk: A group of friends stranded near a desolate cornfield find shelter in an old farmhouse, though they soon discover the dwelling is the center of a supernatural ritual.

This is like my kind of movie so of course i liked it and thought it was scary. If you can't tell by the title this movie has to do with scarecrows!! I love scarecrows i personally find them very creepy so ofc i fuck with this movie 

• The Sleep Experiment: Two detectives begin an investigation into a disastrous secret military experiment where five prisoners were kept.

I thought this was really good and creepy. It's suspense/horror! The ending was kinda meh i just wish this movie was longer !! 

• The Silencing: A reformed hunter becomes involved in a deadly game of cat and mouse when he and the local sheriff set out to track a vicious killer who may have kidnapped his daughter years ago.
