Journal Entry #15: 03/01/23

Finally, it’s March, one of my favorite months of the year along with May and August.

But first, a recap: February was meh, as always. My birthday was great, and even though the fundraising event wasn’t what I thought it would be, I will admit that it made me feel good. I wasn’t happy with my progress report though, I’m hoping within these last two weeks that my grade goes up. Also, the last week of February was really nice, because for whatever reason, February decided to give us a taste of March. 

Now let’s talk about today! I have a bunch of packet work to do:/ Trust me, it will get done, but I hate that some of the things I’m assigned feel more like busy work. One of my teachers is going to be absent tomorrow. I may be alone on this, but I hate it when we have subs. They never really know what they’re doing and are sometimes given no instructions at all. Substitutes are also hard to find, so who’s left isn’t very good. Also, I can’t really stand either sitting in there doing nothing or slaving away at work.

On a positive note, Art Club will be held next week! Unfortunately that’s the week before Spring Break. I’m glad we’ll finally get to meet though, we’ll have a St. Patrick’s Day party and work on fixing the gallery. Also, I got my decision from the specialty program I applied for, and I got in! It’s nice to know that if I stayed here, I might get better academic attention and make friends with my roommates. 

Additionally, I have been notified that my decision for a university will be coming out this Friday at 4pm. I’m surprised they notified me, but this will take the shock out of it. I really don’t think I’m going to get in though, so I guess it will be my first rejection. That’s okay! I can’t get in everywhere. I’ll likely write about it next entry.

Oh! And here’s my outfit, along with some special socks. I got them a few years ago for a St. Patrick’s Day celebration; I just love how simple and green they are. As for the outfit, I wanted something new for March, so I wore a cream graphic baby tee, some high waisted light wash jeans and a green cropped hoodie.
