foundations of decay

the foundations of decay is such a wonderfully cathartic piece to close off the era of emo that MCR headed. its lyrics speak to the mental health journey and the maturing of it's fanbase. it's a beautiful ode to the time that was spent with MCR and emo as a whole. beyond that it also serves double duty as a gateway for younger fans (like myself) to see the beauty of such an underappreciated genre. the composition is amazing and Gerarda vocals mixed with the eerie distortions make for a very good listen. 

today was a gross day and I blame it fully on my forgetting my headphones at home. tommorow will be better.
