Talking about Hellsing Ultimate

I am so so in love with the anime I watched last weekend. I didn't think I would love Hellsing Ultimate as much as I did, but here I am writing about it as my first blog entry.

I watched it completely on a whim and knowing absolutely nothing about it. I had zero idea of what I was getting into. I heard of it from the song Magnolia by Suilen, which is my favourite song that I have heard this year so far, and then the day that I decided to watch it I saw some cool fan art on Tumblr of the characters, so I watched it.

I didn't know it was going to have vampires, which was a pleasant surprise for me, as I love vampires. The vampire Alucard, works for The Hellsing Organization, as a vampire who kills other vampires. He's also the most powerful vampire of all time, at least in the universe of Hellsing.

But the Hellsing Organization isn't the only group that hunts vampires, the literal actual Vatican also hunts vampires. There's often fights between Alucard and Father Alexander Anderson, who has regenerative powers and is an all around badass for a priest.

This anime also has Nazi vampires. They all get massacred by Alucard and the other characters. You really love to see any form of Nazi get ripped to bloody shreds.

I don't wanna talk too much about the plot, because I don't want to spoil anything for anyone who has been meaning to watch it or read the manga, but I highly recommend it. It isn't for everyone because it does get gory and pretty gross (in ways other than gore) but I absolutely loved it and it might just be my favourite anime.
