From a photographer to another photographer... Questions/Critique
1.) Did you want the really muted tones/was the tone what you intended? I say this because it seems a little dark but again that might be what you were going for thus why I asked... I maybe would of used a bounce card to expose the face a bit more or pushed up exposure?
2.) Very little contrast, was this intended and what you were going for? Again me personally I would push the contrast a little more to separate her from the muted grey scene/water/wall comes back to that muted tones thing...
3.) How much editing or was it just quick through Lightroom or photoshop?
4.) What lens were you using? Could of been interesting to see some bokeh shots and with the lower light you could've achieved a nice depth of field if you were using like a 50mm or 35mm lens? anything under f2.8 really would've looked nice. Same thing with the fire... shooting through the fire at her face using depth of field. Maybe closer to the pages and really try to fill the frame with the face.
5.) Overall you did well! I like the composition of some of the shots and the angles you took. Ive shot in a bathroom before and did a swimming with the fishes shoot. Not the easiest thing to do specially trying to get up above the bathtub so I commend you on that. Great job! 1. yes this was the tone I was looking for, some greenish twilight film tones.
I need to use that more often
2. yes I was going for very dull, not much contrast. Though I will put one through again and see how that looks too!
3. mostly acne editing out, but the rest was fast via lightroom
4. I think I was using a wider lens, the bathroom was wingspan size and I couldn't get a shot with anything else, I am still very fresh at this so learning the lens vs the room/area im working with is proving to be a little difficult. I will put a 35mm on my list to buy! I actually only have 3 lens
5. the bathroom is.... smmmmallll. so think spiderman taking a photo... it was rough but I am a monkey.
I am deff not professional this is just more hobby and I have so little to work with BUT THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THESE COMMENTS I WILL BE KEEPING ALL OF THEM IN MIND

For what it is you did well. What camera do you shoot with? Most of my portrait stuff I use a 85mm 1.4 and my all around lens is a 35mm 1.4 I have a few different lenses in my bag to get me through most shoots. Have you considered post editing filters? Like actions you can build and just hit play in light room and it will play through the built action to add the muted tones and color balance you’re going for? Actions are very easy to use/make and I’d be more than happy to assist you if you would like to give it a go. I have a friend who does a lot of portrait stuff and she’s currently in love with warm brown tones/shades so I can see where you were going when you say twilight. It was like that bluish green tone very cool looking in color spectrum

I also have a 76-300mm but I haven't used it yet
I honestly haven't taken the time to learn what I should use it for.

The muted look actually grew on me hella fast
I dunno but it just has this gothic vibe that way, it's not done up glamorously even though she's beautiful.
The only thing that cringes me is the angle of the bathtub on the overhead shot doesn't align aesthetically with the margins hfdhkfghgfdfgjdfgj
But the one just under that saves it by being awesome lol

yea, I wanted more of a dull, tumblr girl, twilight feel for the photos. I noticed its deff hit or miss for people
I was hanging from the walls taking the over head pics, it was hard to do, maybe I can fix it in editing?? ? but I AM SO SORRYYY

These are all really good! I like them.
My only criticism is that a little more light would have gone a long way. Even something subtle directly pointed toward the model.
I totally wish I had more light, it was impossible. but I deff need to try for more on my next sessions, the bathroom was extremely small, maybe ill look into lights that can hang on the walls or something

These photos are nice. Tumblr would've eaten them up back in the day.
One sort of critique though (coming from someone who is not knowledgeable with photography) is that I feel as through the shadows on the models face are a bit too harsh in the photos that are farther away from the models face. For example I find that the shadows in the picture where the model is laying down in the tub hid some of the more detailed features of her face. This is the only real critique I can think of. Anyways keep up the good work!
