Entry 2: Boogaloo

It's actually kind of funny how I don't really know how to make "blog posts" anymore.

I was struggling to do a second entry for a few days, despite really wanting to do one. I think Twitter has altered my brain to become more accustomed to micro-blogging.

Either way, some little life updates as well as profile purpose updates.

Got a raise at work (yay!), planning my trip to Tokyo soon (though it'll be later than I expected), I'll be working very hard these next few months but I'm excited.

Retail was never my style, but I really enjoy working for my company shockingly. It can be a bit... rough... with corporate, but still the most relaxed I've felt in such a job setting. It was way less stressful than phone sales/commission even though I make less than half I originally did. I never really expected to go back to standard retail, but c'est la vie!

As for this blog, I plan on sharing a lot of older art as well as my own art from time-to-time. I'm not certain on the policy of SpaceHey on NSFW, but as there are many minors on this platform, I may keep my NSFW separated.

I considered making a Mastodon just for sharing that type of work, but I never really found much luck there. Twitter is also dead and impossible to curate a new following through it these days... I was lucky to make my main account (which I will keep secret) in 2014, but even in the end the shadow bans got to me as well for commission advertising... oops.

I am doing less as a professional artist lately, kind of throwing in the towel for a bit because the numbers game is really irritating to me. I do wish I could work on some projects again, but I just find less and less time to work on art these days... plus... I'm sleepy! I'm getting very old and broken, arthritis is kicking my butt!!!

I do enjoy Tumblr still, maybe one day I'll decide to tie this account to that one officially? Still kind of thinking about what I want my online presence to be made up of, rather than presence I want to focus on experience again.

I remember refreshing forum sites all day when I was a kid in 2008, kinda miss that stream of concentrated content. Twitter is a bit to diverse in media consumption, I sometimes just want to see my silly little curated feed of anime. I wish more websites had the option to have a special feed?

Either way, my question for you guys; How have you all been this year so far? Tell me all about it!
