Okay so I just finished rewatching Trollhunters with my older brother recently and it was lowkey hell because I am literally hyperfixated on this series but because I was watching it with my brother, I wasnt able to watch it when I wanted to :']
Anyways this show has a tight grip on me and my mind I feel like mush right now, like everything about this show is so great and out of all the stories within the series of Tales of Arcadia I strongly feel like Trollhunters is the strongest and most stable story wise and character wise because it has a clearer idea of what is and what kind of journey they are trying to portray and also was given more time to convey it, but I feel like by the time we get to Wizards alot of these characterization plus plot points either gets jumbled up or thrown away, like idk I feel like it would've been more meaningful if the series went a different direction, but I also understand that Wizards had to be cut shorter than its intended story. But that does not excuse whatever happened in Rott that movie was something else and not the good kind of something else...
Like I feel like the movie would've been better received if it weren't for the ending, out of all things I was not expecting that and it completely undermined some of the feelings the series convey such as building a better future and how you cant change the past either and the show literally showed the consequences of doing such. At this point I can't help but wonder if the plot of Wizards was where the story truly started to come apart which sucks because I did like the third part of the series I just didn't like how it fit into the overarching story overall, especially since that's where the movie leads off from.
