Uncanny Valley Man

I had a dream about an odd man. He had extremely pale white skin, and shaggy black hair that was longer at the back than the front. At its longest, it reached just above his shoulders I think. The man was tall, at least around 6ft 3 to 6ft 5, as well as being thin and lanky. He was surprisingly strong for his appearance. These things could describe an actual person, but there were things that were off about him. His eyes were entirely black, and occasionally black liquid leaked from them. He grinned almost constantly, which made it extremely obvious that he had too many teeth. His clothing was all black, and difficult to see the details of as if it absorbed most of the light. Only his neck, face and hands weren't covered by the clothing.

In the dream, people warned me that he could be malicious and dangerous. In the best scenarios, he just liked trying to scare people. Despite the warnings, for some reason I decided to try befriending him or at least get on his good side. I guess it worked, because he didn't try to hurt me or even try to scare me. He just decided to hang around me, taking interest in whatever I was doing. The entire time, he never spoke once.

The man had the ability to control who saw him. He would commonly select one person at a time to see him. As a warning of this, the chosen individual would briefly see his face. Other people would not see the warning either. As well as this, the man appeared to be able to stop time for himself and who could see him. Maybe this was due to him actually shifting them into another dimension of some kind? Or maybe it wasn't. I've only had one dream where he's shown up, so I can't say for sure. Sometimes beings like this occur repetitively in my dreams, so I'll have to wait and see.
