talking abt how time works in the comic

ok so

in hell, heaven, and purgatory, time goes much faster.

about 2-3x faster, to be exact, than in the human world, depending on your location in hell. some places go faster than others.

the calender works the same in all places, but time is faster, thats it.

this also means that people age faster, however...

when you die and get sent to one of the 3, you no longer age; this is because dying isnt possible in any of the 3. your already dead. so people dont age, they stay the same. however, time does still pass, so theres 2 different ages.

your bodily age (how old your body is)

and how long you've been in hell/heaven/purgatory

in general with laws in the 3, the time youve been in hell overrides your bodily age. (there are exceptions, tho. for example: the age of consent in hell is bodily 18. you cant fuck if your not bodily 18, because if you did youll probably hurt yourself bc your body is literally underdeveloped. same for drinking and any other activity that can cause harm to the body.) ill probably make up laws as i go but for now thats the general rule. world building is so fun amirite

its funny cause ive literally made laws for this world but that doesnt even play a part in the story; no ones gonna fuck, basically. but idk i just thought "wait shouldnt hell have an age of consent and legal drinking age since its basically a society with demon people? same with heaven and purgatory?"

so yeah

im gonna work on everyones canon ages, but basically everyones either gonna be ageless or an adult. maybe a mix of the two. so far all i got is "everyone is bodily like 19-24 but they all have been in hell for thousands of years." thousands of years in hell is pretty short compared to human time so ye.

i might change this tho in the future and revamp this cause its not perfect, so uh feel free to complain and also call me slurs in the comments idk you do you

oh and also heaven and purgatory work the same but heavens ages are higher and drinking, drugs, etc are banned cuz theyre angels. since purgatory is basically jail but worse nothing is allowed, period. 

also im thinking of having one of the characters kill off one of the characters then having an entire arc where they just question if it was justified. i think id be interesting to write and explore. but idk its just an idea and probably wont happen

btw just a reminder im not a satanist so if i seem to glorify hell/purgatory/anything problematic in general, it was probably just my autism fucking up my sentences. sorry abt it /gen.
