Music I enjoy #1: KATARI

Today I have decided to start a little thing where I just show Music and Artists I really enjoy and maybe share some information about the artist.

Katari are a Japanese-based duo with music that is themed around Japanese literature turned into songs. 

The duo are fairly well known. If you don't know them that's fine! No everyone will expect you to know them. But I will tell you a little about the duo. 

First we have Shinichiro Kamio, Kamio is a Seiyuu who is most known for being Rio Mason Busujima from Hypnosis Mic. But has also been Kuro Kiryu in Ensemble Stars, Makoto Katai from Komi Can't Communicate and apparently in the Japanese dub of Thomas & Friends. Like I'm not even joking. Here. Kamio does the Narration and the singing in the songs. His really brings a lovely sound and he tells each story with beautiful delivery and a lot of emotion.

Secondly, we have Takehiro Mamiya (Alias) also known as Yuyoyuppe or DJ'TEKINA//SOMTHING. he is also a part of the band Naked Identity Created by King. Yuyoyuppe is more known for his vocaloid songs that he has made over the years but as created music for Video games, anime, idol series, idols and uh... created the opening for Yarichin Bitch Club... Every time I remember he wrote Touch You I die a little inside... ANYWAYS!!! Yuyoyuppe's role in KATARI is the music along with providing some vocals to the songs. The vibes he creates for each songs is just awesome and sound absolutely beautiful!

I really enjoy listening to KATARI either while I work or sleep as a lot of it is really calming to listen to. I honestly wish I could understand Japanese so I could experience the songs to their full potential as the songs are literally stories. But I can settle and really enjoy the vibes of each song. My personal favourite out of all the songs is Yagi no Uta/Chuya Nakahara. (haha yes of course the chuuya kinnie like this song) And its one of the only songs I can understand a little bit of since I have read the book of Chuya Nakahara's poems. And I love the overall vibe of the song! I was glad to find this project with my friend. Her being a fan of Seiyuus and literature and me being a fan of Yuyoyuppe really made this click for the both of us. And I really like seeing Yuyoyuppe's style go so broad from what I'm used to hearing from him.

So whether you are a fan of Literature, Music, Kamio, Yuyoyuppe, or heck I'll even look over at the Bungo fans if they really want to look at it. I think yall should give it a try! And if it's not your thing that's perfectly fine! I'm just glad to share something I like!
