✧ Daily Log — #13

good afternoon, friends. allow me, captain ace, a moment to speak with you.

i can't really call it a daily log anymore, can i? it's more monthly at this point. i'll change the name next time. life has been everything everywhere and it's hard to keep track of small things like this place. that's not meant in a negative way. i think this place is nice, and i can't speak ill of it considering i don't use this too much. it's more that it's tucked away, a little cave in the side of one great mountain.

and to think months ago i was worrying about creating edits and keeping a consistent schedule. unfortunately school is still kicking my ass, but it's my final year so it's going to be one elongated race to the finish line. i'm not fairly excited about what the future holds. i know i'm going to need to pick myself up and get to work soon.

it saddens me a bit to say not much has changed. nothing about me, emotionally, has changed. physically? i bleached my hair so now i'm blonde. i got glasses, and i finally have my driver's license! and whilst those things are all good and fine, it's easy to overlook all of the conflict building within me when i'm distracted by physical changes. it all gets a bit much, don't you think?

what more to say? i could give my usual updates - how my stories are going, which friends are doing what, or even what jerma's next stream might be. but those are quite old now, don't you think? it gets a bit boring after twelve entries just rotating those three topics.

i've got an interesting thing to mention. i've finally found the one place in the world that i would like to visit. up until a bit ago, i had no desperate desire to visit anywhere, until i discovered something. the monterey bay aquarium. i know, i know, "but that's just an aquarium? wouldn't your bucket list item be something more special, like paris or rome?" - those places are dandy, but this means something to me.

the gorgeous kelp forest and the beautiful range of jellyfish species they have at that aquarium amazes me. i love marine animals, specifically jellyfish, and this place seems like the most lovely home for such creatures. however, to my dismay, to reach that aquarium i have to cross the pacific ocean. so, maybe one day when i've saved up enough, i'll be able to visit.

you know, in all of these entries, all of our flights together, i never stopped to ask how you are. if you are just skimming through the category and happen to find this, or even occasionally visit my blogs due to some interest, then i invite you to speak. this branch does not just hold my weight. you are here too, listening. so i open the floor now to you. what is life like on the other side of this screen?

dear reader, feel free to speak your mind. if not, i will speak with you again on another branch, somewhere in the distant future.
