i, as a stereotypical guitarist tends to, do not have very good rhythmic capabilities. keeping a straight beat is tricky... if it has some swing, some pizazz, i can manage, but straight beat is hard to get done well. however, that seems to thankfully not be that much of an issue. at least, when it comes to the few times i have been complimented on my music, it is for my "loose time feel"... dunno if i should be proud or what.

the first time it happened was with someone i had practically just met... he was a fellow guitarist and was interested in making some music together. i showed him some of what i have already done, and his main comment, the main part that wowed him was "woah, the guitars' rhythm is a bit off... that's so cool"

the other was when my dear arty was braving the possibilities of ear cancer and listening to some things i was working on... and one of the bits she liked was how the bass synth was not exactly on time...
