first of all, we need to know what a SUBCULTURE is.

Subcultures correspond to subdivisions of the dominant culture that oppose it. They coexist in the same society even if in opposition. In modern society there are a many subcultures, the term SUBCULTURE has been used in sociology mainly in the study of yourh and deviance.

 Now that you know what a subculture is we can talk about Decora Kei! Decora Kei is arguably the subculture with the most "stripped down" and flashy look of all subcultures in Harajuku! Unlike most Japanese trends, this one does not have any kind of exact set of rules to be required, quite the contrary, the concept of Decora Kei is exactly to dress without limitations ☆ 

 The term "DECORA" comes from the word "decoration" [ I believe you have already noticed this (〃・ω・〃) ] it is about taking advantage of the colors of the rainbow, pieces of clothing and AS MUCH ACCESSORIES AS YOU CAN to decorate the yourself.
 Subculture participants often wear dozens of colorful accessories in their hair, neck, hands, even face stickers! Overlapping garments are full of prints. The look is known as "fun fashion", as the extreme use of colors can brighten someone's day and spark imagination.
