fountain pen hospital adventure!

This is one of many of my NYC blogs I'll be posting, this is my first blog on here so forgive me!!

My fiance Daniel and I have been wanting to go to this store since we really got into fountain pens around last December and now this trip we finally had the chance :DĀ

We went this past Thursday around lunchtime, it's in Manhattan so we had to ride the train for a bit but it was pretty painless. When we arrived the store seemed really small but once you get past the front counter everything really fills our into a nice space! It was also a nice retreat from the 40f temperatures that day but I will say it did get a bit spicy in the store as time went on.

This is the back of the store where the space was a bit bigger, most of the pens are in this area!

We stayed in here forever! (It's hard not to LOL) we browsed their seemingly endless selection of pens from super old ones to new ones, $20 ones to $2000 ones!! Looking was a pretty awesome experience in and of itself! Both Daniel and I caved and decided to get pens that day, I ended up getting a Pilot e95 and he chose a LAMY Studio. We also couldn't get pens without inks xD so I chose Diamine red dragon and he chose Diamine pumpkin, both lovely colors!Ā

I'll post the rest of the photos here to show y'all the rest of the store! I'll be writing my review of my e95 soon so keep an eye out for that next!

Another pic of the back of the store, you can see a bit of the journal selection they had! Mostly molskine and rhodia as well as clairefontaine. Not pictured but they did have some nice professional looking stationery letter sets too!

Colorful estie pens, Daniel loved how bright they were.

A beautiful expensive pen we saw! A work of fine art

Overall it was a super great experience! A big thank you to the kind man that helped us out and explained everything to us! I loved the fact that they let you test drive the pens youre interested in first before you purchase too! 10/10 for kind and knowledgeable staff, good prices, great selection, and just general coolness. A great way to spend the day before we winded down for dinner in Greenpoint.
