Watched today in theatres, I enjoyed it! I love ridiculous horror movies, one of my top 3 of genres. I love how silly yet serious it is, the sfx + props were incredible and not cheesy looking, actually funny, and overall great. I'd rate it a nice 10/10!!! I loved the entire movie from beginning to end, the only things I didn't like was how predictable the jumpscares were.. It goes from suspenseful music to total silence before a few jumpscares and was very easy to tell when it would happen, but otherwise were executed well, and the last 30-ish minutes when they were on the cliff was a bit ehhh, but was still real gud. I loved the atmosphere and how lush the area they were shooting in was. I'm a sucker for good atmospheres. :-) The acting was good, + character designs. They actually looked like they were from the 80s, not in weird "costumey" outfits. (Do you get what I mean..)

The movie was also greatly funny, I usually can't find horror movies that are meant to be funny, that actually Are funny. Maybe it's because a lot of recent "funny" movies try too hard to appease to all audiences with ultra specific jokes, I really like jokes that are actually relevant to the plot at hand. I also liked how the characters match really well with how they act and speak, I find it a bit disorienting when a 'preppy' character is totally brutal, for example. I like how stylized the characters are, it makes them memorable and stick out even if their personalities are extremely similar. Like the 3 'troublemakers', as Ranger Liz described them. They were practically triplets in their actions, but their physical appearance and clothing were different enough for them to recognizably different.

But since I don't have really enough complaints to make a segment about it, The movie was incredibly funny and phenomenal, a easy recommendation to watch it!! I hope to own a Steelbox of it if they make one, once DVDs are released.
