weird dream last night notes

• oh, this formatting is suffering on mobile lol. i dont wanna fix it anymore so, moving on: 
• strange world with a magic system I didn't understand
• parallel world to our own where every person had a counterpart
• i got moved over there somehow
• some kind of curse had been placed on one or both worlds where we were all stuck in a groundhog day loop and every day would repeat and anything that happened would be undone and no one remembered this outside a very small few
• there were deity like elemental spirits in the magic world, or maybe both! but they only interacted with people in the magic world
• people were like "decended" from them in the magic world so maybe people had magic there bc those beings had gotten involved in their birth process or something lol
• first part of the dream was me being confused and not understanding and being stuck between worlds and having to figure out what was going on and somehow explain why i had replaced my doppelganger to the people who loved them in this world
• figured out the whole groundhog day loop thing idk how but became aware of it's existence. maybe the loop could only be sensed by people who had gone to the other world
• we needed more people to jump worlds to fix it basically!!! 
• before that tho I had to learn how to do magicy stuff. animal familiars didn't like me so that was like a challenge. played magic games to learn but I sucked at them and animals kept dying during them and i ifelt really bad but a) i always have animals die in my dreams so that's nothing new and b) the loop meant death currently didn't matter
• i kissed some people ... being poly and then being around both dream-versions of my irl loved ones and then this dream magic world's versions of other people that i liked or people who were supposed to be my loved ones in another world meant I was like "woah... what if we all stopped fighting against evil and made out 😳" like semi constantly
• i remember one part of dream was like dream-ception where i was waking up sort of in real life but also from like a nap in my dream and then I felt another person beside me right in my face and they were soft and warm and I was like fuck it whoever this is I wanna kiss them and I did and then I was sleepily like "wait who did I just kiss" and it was i think a parallel world person who didn't really represent anyone I knew irl but I was happy because they were cute anyway lol.
• anyway after i was sufficiently capable of handling myself in this foreign magic world we had to start bringing over other people from the non magic world and sending magic people over to the non-magic world to help!!!
• i have no idea what was going on in the non magic world with all the magic parallel people and the regular people I knew. i think a few people I knew came over during the dream and that was fun because, OH I thought for a second you had to "trade" places with your parallel self but actual you didn't because i remember how funny it was to be working with two versions of some people. i had to ask "wait who" to the person I kissed partly bc I wasn't sure if they were magic or non magic world person bc both of them were on my little resistance team lol
• so we found a way to like, infuse non magic people with spirit powers from their elemental deities too, and there was some cool scene where I got to see spirit gods talking about which people were decended from each of them, up in like a big gorgeous forest throne room inside the top of / above? a giant tree surrounded by and full of stars, and going down down down the very tall tree that had a top unreachable by humans , there was like a door or alcove that connected the two realms
• the spirit gods were funny, one of them was telling another how hot she thought his decendant he was making was and was like "im going to ravage that offspring of yours" like damn pagan gods that are all related can be freaks (looking at the Greek pantheon)
• there were also like these unique sigils that represented each god and their element that glowed colors :) i love glowy colors
• anyway somehow this tree was used to like help bestow abilities upon non magic world people (i guess the gods were on our side against whatever malevalent forces were corrupting the world, so it was so outside force and not them, but they still didn't really do anything besides give us boons and let us handle it ourselves. very typical behavior on their part lol we love to see it)
• then i saw one scene of like, a room of maybe a dozen or so girls and women from our world being taught by one magic woman how to brew something and there were like 3 or 4 girls around each cauldron, at the whole room was super in chaos because no one could figure it out, also they were stirring linens in there and not potions so I'm not entirely what it was that was being made. maybe infusing garments with protective properties or something, and the mentor person was getting very upset at all the pupils. but then another person came in and reminded the teacher figure not to be frustrated but instead patient with people less experienced than us, and to remember times in which you also didn't understand the same topic or skill, which was a very poignant moment. 
• ugh im mad because my dream flitted off into nothingness around this part. i didn't get to see the fruits of our labor!!!

BUT TO SUMMARIZE:

• i moved to a magic world
• i found out about an evil time stagnation that caused amnesia
• anyone who became aware of it remembered what happened during a loop instead of forgetting, so after I told my friends they remembered too and we became a  small resistance force
• i learned magic-ish... was very bad at playing childhood magic learning games
• a few couple other of my people follow me to magic world
• i had romantic and sexual tension with all my companions lol
• our resistance grew and we started sending people to the non magic world to help there and bringing over more people to the magic world
• deities helped us by giving us boons and comic relief
• resistance formed ranks and started mass teaching new arrivals how to fight
• preparing for some kind of battle against whatever force was causing the time stagnation
• BUT WE NEVER FIGURED OUT WHO OR WHAT OR WHY!!!!!!!!! AND NEVER HAD OUR EPIC FINAL BATTLE!!!

so that's dreams for you! what a weird one... very cool though. i wish a book like this existed or that i was patient enough to write it myself lol. pretty generic fantasy story overall, but very fun and the relations between the people/characters were probably the hook than anything else. also the interesting elemental deities. dreams like this always make me feel like I myself am actually peering into another reality... i kind of hope i was :)
