hey there

got convinced to try this out even though i'm honestly pretty bad at "social media" that's not tumblr or newgrounds (if the latter counts). i suppose this serves as a more extended about of some kind, or at least a log of stuff i do/am doing at the moment.

this college semester honestly kind of sucks. i feel like i haven't had much time to create for myself, but in a brighter turn of events i've been engaging in more watchable media as of late - particularly finishing up the venture brothers (and crying like a bitch) and i finished kamen rider zero-one (and cried like a bitch). on that note, tokusatsu was always something i wanted to get into, but something about it in my younger years always passed me by. i blame not being a disney kid and nickelodeon airing their respective power rangers series at weird times. alas. now i'm a grown-ass adult and i can watch all the spandex giant robots and explosions all i want.

i really really liked zero-one. genuinely i wish i watched it back when it aired, but i'm just super glad i watched it now. i've always been very attached to plots and themes regarding the eventual relationships humans will have with artificial intelligence. every single character regardless if i liked or disliked them had really interesting developments and my opinions on the entire cast changed drastically throughout my experience. now i just need more people to talk about it with because my friends won't watch the entire thing (a horrible decision).

um, what else. oh yeah - i participate in smash bros tournaments now? not really, but i've been more involved with my college's smash bros club and it's actually pretty nice to rekindle a love for a game that was such a big part of my childhood. only difference now is i really only care for the fighting game guest characters. (sorry, ness, but i'm a terry main now)

that's it i guess? moral of the story is talk to me about kamen rider zero-one.

DUDE KAMEN RIDER ZERO-ONE WAS MY FIRST KAMEN RIDER TOO. It's a really great place to start off and I'm glad that you enjoyed it! Do you have a season in mind that you're gonna check out next?

I DID start amazon riders with the same friend who got me into zero-one a while ago but I haven't got back to it yet - it's cool but the slow start did turn me off a bit. I really like mamoru tho he makes me happy. :] right now I'm debating on if I wanna watch kabuto or ryuki because ryuki's op is REALLY GOOD. LIKE REALLY GOOD. I still need to also pick a sentai to watch also!! ;A;

OHHH kamen rider amazons? I've only seen the first season of it but yeah it's good it's verrrrrry different from the usual kamen rider formula it's a lot more serious but it's still good. Mamoru is my favorite too for sure. I would DEFINITELY recommend ryuki out of the two but I do love both of them. Kabuto is kinda crazy also I remember feeling like it started off slow, or like, I wasn't super interested when I started, but like half-way in I got really into it. And the kabuto protag is insane like no other kamen rider protag is quite like him. But overall ryuki is probably the better season, one of the best over all. ALSO SENTAI it's hard to decide what sentai to recommend as a first but I started with kyoryuger <3 I've watched sooo many seasons of both toku shows so if you have any questions about any of it I'm down to help out!!
