alien queen

picture this: you get abducted by aliens. the alien queen was getting lonely and wanted a friend, but the female population of the aliens was doing a steep decline. you oblige the alien queen. you learn about alien customs and make other alien friends. meanwhile, you and the alien queen are getting closer. she tells you stories about her life over the last few millenia. she falls in love with you. she asks to lay her eggs in you. you hesitate, but if it’ll make her happy you’ll readily do it. a couple months pass by. you’re a mother now. you and the alien queen are deeply in love. one day the alien queen starts acting suspicious, and you try to find out what’s wrong. you eavesdrop on her conversation with her advisor, where she tells him that you’re going to die soon and she’s very obviously upset about it. you think she’s going to kill you. you pull away from her, distancing yourself. how could the love of your life be planning to kill you? you confront her. she cries. she tells you the reason you were abducted in the dirst place was to bring the female alien population back up, because there were nearly no others that could carry her eggs. she apologizes, and says that she doesnt want you to go, but human life spans are awfully short. she says it’ll pain her less to kill you than for her to get more attached to you until you die. you feel angry that she would keep this from you, but you understand. loss is hard. you tell her to go ahead. she poisons you, and you die in her arms while she cries over your cold body.
