writing post-hardcore music

okay, so... i don't really have a method i'm going by, but i'm trying. like, i don't even know if it's post-hardcore, but that's what i'm inspired by. i'd like to be able to use some of my favorite songs as a template, but i end up doing things freeform, it's not like poetry. maybe it is. i'm just not one for following templates for creativity, i go off-script, which is good, but it sucks when my demo sounds bad. but it's a demo, it's a rough draft. rough drafts are supposed to be bad.
