Hi all. A local friend posted about this site on FB and so I thought I'd check this out.
This place reminds me of the old MySpace venue, but looks much better than FB.
Thanks to the creators of this cool site!
I don't know if I'm allowed to have two separate accounts at this site
(one for Me, and the other for my band) but if that's not allowed then I'll just
promote my band from my profile.
I'm a native-born Nuyorican (native NYC, Puerto Rican by blood and heritage)
55yo US Army veteran, single, blue-collar employed. Just chillin as I'm passing
over the hump hill of Life. Born in Manhattan, raised in the Bronx, and
currently residing in upstate NY within the tri-city Capital region area.
As a hobby I've been a self-taught multi-instrumentalist musician since my mid teens
(guitar, bass, drums, and vocals)... performed in many bands and as a soloist,
in genres ranging from Christian Rock, to Folk, Punk, and Hardcore,
and Grind Metal.
From time to time I like to switch back n forth between instruments whenever
the mood strikes; but, for now, while I'm drumming in a band, drums have
become my strongest instrument.
I'm currently drumming in my band The VaVaVoodoos ... a 3-piece garage-rock
indie band based in Albany NY. The band itself has been around since the 90s,
formerly known as The Mysteios. After several member lineup changes and
the name-change to The VaVaVoodoos the band has evolved into a power trio.
As their current drummer, I joined the band in May 2019...
...We have several CDs available, and tons of music videos on YouTube.
Our current 2 CDs "Apocalypse Wow!" and a self-titled 4-song EP CD
have been getting airplay at a few internet-radio and live radio stations,
locally and in other cities.
You can find us on Facebook, Reverbnation, and Bandcamp.
Here is a sample of our music...

Last but not least, it's the new year. Really?
It feels like 2020 carried itself over, given the nasty riot in DC last week.
Such a bad start to the new year, let alone Rona hasn't left the room yet.
But hey, Life still must go on, and so must we all.
This ride feels bumpy at first, but I hope it will smooth itself out
as the year progresses. Like many of you, I too am looking forward
to many new exciting cool things. One day at a time.
Stay safe, stay chillin, and enjoy life!
Peace.
