Review: I wanted to love this story I really did but in all honesty, it felt a little vanilla for what I've been reading up to this, but don't let that keep you from reading yourself. There is a happy ending with the girl and guy riding off into the sunset finally being able to get their heads out of their asses and admit they love each other. It was frustrating how they both acted and then Lacey's sister is made out to be the cockblock, even tho they all just need to be adults and communicate wants needs, and boundaries. 🙄 I was more annoyed about how triggering Lacey's boss and work were, as I too have dealt with the same type of toxic work environment, and all her reasons for staying were lame. (I was more triggered by the boss than Lacey getting stabbed and mugged) I'm really not trying to hate on this book as I liked it still but I didn't fall in love with their love. I do recommend this book tho. I think it's a good read for the beginner romance reader, I'm just too corrupted by Italian mafia men (more on that later).
